BGP

Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is an inter and intra-autonomous system routing protocol that

• operates within and between autonomous systems (networks or groups of networks under common administration with common routing policies),

• exchanges routing information for the Internet, and

• serves as the protocol used between Internet service providers (ISPs).
