Configure VXLAN interfaces

Configure VXLAN interfaces to enable virtualized network overlay functionality and network segmentation.

VXLAN provides Layer 2 overlay network capabilities over existing Layer 3 infrastructure. You can configure either VXLAN or Geneve interfaces, but not both simultaneously.

Note

You can configure either VXLAN or Geneve (Firewall Threat Defense Virtual only). For Geneve interfaces, see Configure geneve interfaces.

Note

For Azure GWLB, the VXLAN interface is configured when you deploy the VM using the ARM template. You can use this section to change your configuration.

Follow these steps to configure VXLAN interfaces.

Procedure

Step 1

Configure the VTEP source interface.

Step 2

Configure the VNI interface.

Step 3

(Azure GWLB) Allow gateway load balancer health checks.
