Configure the network discovery policy

Configure the Network Discovery Policy to establish how the system identifies and monitors network resources, user traffic, and host operating systems in your environment.

Procedure

Step 1

Choose Policies > + Show more > Advanced > Network Discovery.

Step 2

Configure the following components of your policy:

Discovery rules — See Configuring Network Discovery Rules.
Traffic-based detection for users — See Configure Traffic-Based user detection.
Advanced network discovery options — See Configuring Advanced Network Discovery Options.
Custom operating system definitions (fingerprints) — See Creating a Custom Fingerprint for Clients and Creating a Custom Fingerprint for Servers.
