Choose a base access control policy

Choose a base access control policy to establish policy inheritance, allowing a child policy to inherit rules and settings from its parent while maintaining the ability to modify unlocked configurations.

When you change the base policy for the current access control policy, the system updates the current policy with any locked settings from the new base policy.

Procedure

Step 1

In the access control policy editor, select Inheritance Settings from the More drop-down arrow at the end of the packet flow line.

Step 2

Choose a policy from the Select Base Policy drop-down list.

To remove inheritance, select None.

Step 3

Click OK.

Step 4

Click Save to save the access control policy.
