Dynamic object mappings

A dynamic object mapping is a configuration feature that

  • enables connectors to send IPs matching dynamic attribute filters to the Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center,

  • allows users to view or download a current list of mapped IP addresses, and

  • updates IP addresses dynamically over time to reflect changes in access control rules.

Mapped IP address information

If you configured dynamic objects through the API or by using the dynamic attributes connector, the connectors send IPs that match dynamic attribute filters to the Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center at regular intervals.

To view or download a current list of these IP addresses, click Show Mapped IDs in the Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center, as illustrated.

The figure illustrates the process of viewing or downloading a list of dynamically mapped IP addresses, highlighting the option to click "Show Mapped IDs" for accessing current data.

IP addresses are added dynamically over time. Review the mapped IP addresses regularly, especially if the access control rules do not behave as expected.
