Generate a new CA certificate and private key

Generate a self-signed RSA-based CA certificate and accompanying private key by configuring an internal CA object.

Use this task to establish a trusted CA for your environment. The CA certificate enables secure signing and validation of other certificates and will be valid for ten years, with the Valid From date starting one week before creation.

Procedure

Step 1

Choose Objects.

Step 2

Expand the PKI node, and choose Internal CAs.

Step 3

Click Generate CA.

Step 4

Enter a Name.

Step 5

Enter your identification attributes.

Step 6

Click Generate self-signed CA.
